The FireCrateUSA 75mm diesel heater tent port adapter is designed to sit in a rooftop tent window or door zipper track and provide a rigid pass-through point for heater ducting. Its deep zipper channel, zipper reliefs, and enlarged interior support flange are designed to help the adapter stay seated even with the weight and movement of attached ducting.

The adapter is 3D printed from durable PETG and is designed to be used with a compatible 75mm heater vent. The required heater vent is not included.

Which Side of the Adapter Faces Inside the Tent?

The larger enhanced flange is designed to face the interior of the tent. That wider interior flange creates more surface area against the tent fabric and zipper opening, helping support the weight of the heater ducting instead of concentrating that load on a smaller edge.

Why Does the Larger Interior Flange Matter?

Heater ducting can pull, shift, or place downward load on a zipper-mounted passthrough during the night. The wider interior flange is designed to distribute that load over a larger area and help keep the adapter from being pulled out of the zipper opening. This directly addresses a common failure mode of smaller zipper-mounted tent adapters that can work loose or fall out when the ducting moves.

How Does the Diesel Heater Tent Adapter Mount?

The adapter sits in the tent's window or door zipper track. The deep channel holds the zipper teeth under tension, while U-shaped reliefs at the top and bottom give the zipper a place to seat more fully around the adapter.
