RotoPax Diesel Heater Adapter Kit — Enhanced

Convert a compatible RotoPax fuel container into an external fuel source for your diesel heater using FireCrateUSA's replacement-spout adapter and pickup tube. Venting is built into the adapter, so you do not have to drill a separate permanent vent hole in the container. Installation does require preparing the internal flame arrester for the pickup tube and reusing the original spout gasket.

Manual Vent Control

The Enhanced adapter features an integrated, manually operated vent cap. Open the vent as required during heater operation so air can replace fuel drawn from the container. Close the vent for transport to help reduce the risk of fuel escaping through the vent when the container is tilted or jostled on rough trails.

This design provides a more controlled venting option without requiring a separate permanent vent hole in the container. It does not make the assembled fuel system leak-proof. Correct gasket placement, secure seating, sound connections, and appropriate fuel-container handling remain essential.

Compatibility and Installation

• Designed for Gen 2 RotoPax containers; also fits many Gen 1 spout designs. If unsure, contact us with a photo of your existing cap and spout before ordering.
• The internal flame arrester may need to be removed or modified to accommodate the pickup tube.
• Transfer the factory spout gasket to the replacement adapter, and check that the adapter is properly seated.
• Shape and trim the pickup tube as needed so its end reaches near the bottom of the container.
• Check all connections for leaks before use. Follow your fuel-container and heater manufacturer's instructions for fuel handling, venting, operation, and transport.
